Sneaker Poll
Sneaker Info:
Materials
When it comes this shoe’s materials, images show a familiar mix of materials that were found on the OG black pair, which include:
Ripstop Nylon (Entire Upper)
Reflective 3M (Tongue)
Foam/Rubber Midsole & Outsole
Color-Blocking
The shoe’s rough and rugged nylon upper is done up in the the all-Sail color, with the “23” and “Nike Air” logo accents being done in red and black, respectively.
A slightly darker shade of sail aka Muslin appears on the shoe’s plastic eyelets and the silver 3M tongue features a red jumpman logo that a burst of contrast to the design.
Moving down the shoe and keeping with shoe’s “Fire Red” theme, the midsole comes in black, with red accents appearing on the “shark teeth” decorations.
Rounding out the shoe’s design is the unique semi-translucent outsole that gives off an aged appearance with sail, grey, & black portions.
Release Predictions
After months of speculation, an official release date has been set and a slew of retailers are primed and ready to release these highly-anticipated “Off-White” 5s.
As with every Jordan x Off-White drop, the sneakers will be extremely limited and distributed mostly via online/in-store raffles like the ones listed below:
Hate it or love it, Nike SNKRS will most likely be most people’s best opportunity to cop, as they’ll have the most stock. For now, it’s listed as a regular release on the app, but don’t be surprised if it changes to a 10-minute draw that starts at 10am EST on release day.
Resell Predictions
This goes without saying, but the resell market for this shoe will be on par with the black “Off-White” 5 that released earlier this year.
Pre-release day prices are hovering around $1,000 dollars for most sizes, but we should expect to see prices to dip by 20%-30% a couple weeks after release.
Even if prices below $800, don’t expect them to stay there for long. Don’t sleep if you catch an “L” on release day and plan on copping a pair on the secondary market, as I suspect prices will rise quickly due to the holiday and tax season.
