Sneaker Poll
Sneaker Info:
Materials
When it comes this shoe’s materials, early photos show this iteration of the Air Force 1 to have rich mix of materials that include:
Smooth Leather (Entire Upper)
Glow In The Dark Rubber (Entire Midsole)
Textile (Tongue & Sockliner)
Color-Blocking
As far as the shoe’s colorway, the shoe’s upper is adorned completely in starfish orange, with the skeleton graphic being done in black.
To bring contrast and splash, the shoe’s midsole is done in a milky rubber that glows a pale green in the dark, adding to the shoe’s overall “spooky” theme.
Rounding out the sneaker’s design, are the starfish orange sock-liner and laces that look to feature light-blue speckles, based on early photos.
Release Predictions
Using the last 2 “Skeleton” AF1 releases as a barometer, you can expect these to release in fairly limited quantities and eventually sellout during release week. I say eventually simply because the orange colorway of this year’s release may prove to be “too loud” for a lot of buyers and reduce demand.
Of course, this is just my imperfect prediction of the release so take it with a grain of salt and don’t sleep if you’re interested in copping for retail.
As of now, you should be able to cop these online from at least 2 major retailers including:
When it comes to an in-store release, check with your locatl shoe store to see if and how they’ll be released. As of now, my local Footlocker will distributing in-store pairs via the in-app raffle system.
Resell Predictions
Due to the way COVID-19 has shifted the sneaker game in 2020, it’s hard to accurately predict how well this shoe will do on the resell value, however, I do expect these to have resell value.
Based on the previous releases, you can a expect decent margins with the shoe’s relatively low retail price of $130.
As I type, resell prices on GOAT are hovering around $270 3 days before release which is a good sign that you could make around $60-75 profit if you cop and sell immediately.
Long-term sneaker investors might want to take a chance on these as well, as the 2019 black pair is reselling for $300+ and the 2018 white pair $400+.
