Initial Impressions:

Here are a few of my initial thoughts after unboxing this New Balance 997H “South Beach”.

• These shoes are extremely lightweight. It makes the other sneakers that I’ve been buying lately feel like dumbbells. lol  I don’t know what that means for long-lasting comfort, but it’s worth mentioning

• The design crew over at New Balance really did a nice job on the color-blocking for this sneaker. All the colors are perfectly placed.

• This shoe isn’t constructed of “premium” materials like the USA models are, but the materials used are more than acceptable for a shoe at this price point.

• As soon as I stepped foot in this shoe, I could notice that it has a narrower build than the New Balance 998 and New Balance 990 that I’m accustomed to wearing.

I was able to get a pair of these for $40 on Joe’s New Balance Outlet, which is New Balance’s official outlet website.
