How To Cop:

The “Black Satin” Jordan 1s will be available at just about every major retailer across the country and on the Nike SNKRS app. Stores like Footlocker, Footaction, and Champs will be releasing the shoes online (10 am EST) and in-store on a first-come, first-served basis.

The day before the release, I suggest calling your local store to check for availability and the release details for your store.

The Shoe

The Air Jordan 1 is currently Jordan Brand’s most popular silhouette, with the highs, lows, & mids all garnering loads of attention over the last few years.

Kicking it off for 2020, we’ll see the “Black Satin” High OGs make they’re debut on January 28, featuring an all-black upper that mixes both leather and satin materials.

Aside from the black upper, subtle red accents make there way onto the Nike Air tongue tag, and reworked Air Jordan wings logo.

Rounding out the shoes design will be a white midsole, black outsole, and the two pairs of laces (red and black).

I’m personally a big fan of the shoe and like its overall looks, however, there isn’t much hype surrounding this shoe’s release at all.

Release and Resell Predictions

(UPDATE 1/16): All signs point to this shoe being a “flop” on release day. Early resell numbers are close to retail which generally means that the demand is stagnant. This is great news for those who are really interested in copping a personal pair.

I’m personally a big fan of the shoe and like its overall looks, however, there isn’t much hype surrounding this shoe’s release at all.

On release day, you can expect sizes under 10 to sell-out on release day, while larger sizes might sit on shelves for a while.

If you’re looking to get a personal pair, I suggest that you don’t sleep, just in case demand for this shoe starts to heat up prior to release.

Expect resell prices to be moderate, with prices destined to dip starting 1-2 days before release.
