The 2019 Air Jordan 4 Black Cement features an upper that is primarily made of that black nubuck material we’ve come to love and hate. While the sneaker’s materials don’t make you say, “Wow”, they’re just good to keep the average consumer and sneaker enthusiast happy.

The pairs we came across were well-constructed, with no defects that we noticed. One area that we were really impressed with was the midsole. There were no visible paint imperfections and no horrendous glue stains that have appeared on other models.
Sneaker Fit & Comfort:
Sizing: Air Jordan 4 “Black Cement”
When it comes to sizing, some buyers opt to go a half-size up in this shoe to avoid pressure in the upper toe area, near the front netting. However, I had no such issues when going true to size. Over time , shoes loosen with wear and any discomfort should disappear.
Cushioning: Air Jordan 4 “Black Cement”
The Air Jordan 4 is a hit or miss for some people when it comes to comfort. While the midsole and visible air unit are adequate, they’re far from being an all-day shoe. With that being said, we have to remember that this shoe was originally released back in 1989 and not much has changed since its original release.

The Black Cement 4s are an iconic sneaker with the perfect execution of a black/red/white/cement color scheme. The shoes extremely easy to wear and look good with either pants or shorts. These are easily one of my top 5 Jordan retros and should be a must-have in any sneakerhead’s collection.

When it comes to value, the shoes are on par with most OG retro models that Jordan Brand has been releasing lately. While $200 is still a relatively steep price, it’s a better value for an iconic sneaker like the Black Cement 4, that comes as close to the OG as possible.

There’s not much to dislike about the 2019 Black Cement 4s as far as looks and style is concerned. However, we will gripe about the lack of quality relative to the price, and the lack of comfort which is tied to the dated cushioning tech.
