The design tandem of Union and Jordan Brand are known for dreaming up artistic iterations of classic Air Jordan silhouettes that have an unmistakable look and feel. For Spring 2022, the duo is set to release 2 iterations of the often under-appreciated Air Jordan 2 model, with this “Rattan” colorway being one of the twof.
Comprised of a suede and mesh upper, the shoe’s color palette is dominated by the neutral “rattan” color that is contrasted with “orange peel” accents that make their way onto the lace panels and suede underlays. Matching rattan laces and sock-liner materials also work to give this shoe a crisp look perfect for a spring wardrobe.
For added visual interest the sneaker’s perforated suede side-panels appear to coordinate with the circular embroidery pattern that appears around the mesh ankle collar. The obligatory gold “UN/LA” branding tag is also included on the outer portion of each shoe along with a stylized patch on the ankle collar.
