The Return of A Legend!
When it originally released back in 1998, the New Balance 990v2 was considered a worthy successor to the 990v1 which was a monumental running shoe that changed sneaker culture forever.
This “Version Series” iteration of the V2 pays homage to the sneaker’s rich heritage by keeping things close to the OG, but adding subtle details to commemorate the moment.

The shoe is comprised of the familiar mix of premium pigskin suede, mesh, and 3M. Cosmetic addition such as the red “Version 2” tag and tongue embroidery round out the shoe’s design and help differentiate the shoe from the OG.
A special dust bag and additional laces are included in the OG-style box and completely the nostalgic presentation New Balance is clearly trying to achieve with this release.

This will be a tough cop
The sneakers retail for a reasonable $185 and will release in select markets on July 16th. You can expect this shoe to fly off shelves so don’t sleep if you’re looking to cop for retail.
As far as we know, Extra Butter will be the best option for sneakerheads looking to snag a pair and you can do so by entering their raffle which ends on the 16th.
