More Info:
With 2019 being the 30th anniversary of the Air Jordan 4 silhouette, Jordan Brand has made sure to drop some quality 4s throughout the year. Earlier in the year, we saw the “Black Cement 4s” release in OG form and now we’re seeing this winter-ready iteration release to end the year off right.
The materials
From what we’re hearing and seeing in early reviews, the Air Jordan 4 “WNTR” has gone through bit of a makeover to make it more wearable during inclement weather.
The leather seems to be a more durable variety and the signature side-netting is also comprised of a sturdier rubber material.
In addition, the tongue and material underneath the netting are supposedly more moisture resistant, which is also an added plus.
Last but not least, the inside of the shoe is made up of a fleece-like material to help keep your toes nice and toasty during those winter hikes.
Release predictions + resell
There seems to be a considerable amount of anticipation building up for these 4s. People are even calling these the “Poor Man’s” Eminem 4s, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing in my opinion.
Although they do resemble the Eminem joints slightly, the shoe’s are definitely one of the nicer looking 4s to release in a while, which should mean they’ll move fairly well on release day.
Do I think they’ll sellout? Probably not, but there’s a shot that some sizes dry up rather quickly, so don’t sleep if you’re looking to snag a pair for personal wear.
Having said that, I’d say resell won’t be all that hot, but there will potentially be room for profit if you’re able to sell pairs early and use in-store coupons to bring down the price.
