Initial Impressions:

Here are a few of my initial thoughts that I had during the unboxing. A more detailed review will be available after I spend more time with the shoe.

• I wish New Balance would stop stuffing their shoes with paper. If not done properly, it creates a hump on the toe box that alters the shoe’s shape initially.

• I wasn’t sold on the color initially, but in-hand it looks a lot better that on-screen. It definitely gives off Texas Longhorn vibes and I’m not mad at it.

• I was pleasantly surprised by the leather lining on the inside of the shoe. It not only feels good, but the white leather won’t stain as easily as if it was the normal textile material.

• At just under $80 shipped, this is easily one of the best deals I’ve found on a New Balance 998 all year. Shop This Sneaker On Hibbett.com
