Sneaker Info:
The Shoes
Originally released back in 1995, the Air Jordan 11 silhouette was worn by MJ during his return to the NBA after his first retirement. The Jordan 11 is easily Jordan Brand’s best selling retro model and has been released annually in the month of December, since 2008.
This year, the “Bred” 11s will be making their return for the first time since 2012 in OG form, and will most likely become the best-selling sneaker release of all-time.
The materials
The “Bred” 11s most noticeable design feature is the elegant patent leather panel that wraps around the entire shoe. Also adorning the shoe’s upper is the black ballistic mesh and synthetic leather that appears to be of acceptable quality considering the shoe’s price-point.
Another thing to note is the shoe’s high-cut patent leather design harkens back to the OG shoe an differs from the most recent retro iteration that released back in 2012 pair, which had a lower cut.
Release Predictions:
how will they sell?
As with previous holiday releases, tons of retailers around the world will be getting this shoe in a full family size run.
If you’re expecting for this to be a hectic release, you’re probably correct in making that assumption so don’t sleep if you’re planning on copping. Expect adult sizes of this shoes to sell-out very quickly online and in-store.
Similarly to last year’s Concord 11 release, I don’t expect the kid’s sizes to completely sell-out on the first day, but I still suggest staying on your p’s and q’s if you’re interested in copping a pair as a Christmas gift.
will they have resell value?
If you’re fortunate enough to get your hands on pairs before release or if you sell your pairs a couple days before release, you may be able to squeeze small profits out of all sizes.
When it comes to in-store coupons, stores like Foot Locker, Footaction, and Champs won’t allow them to be applied to a Jordan 11 purchase. However, Finishline and Hibbett | City Gear do accept coupons for Jordan 11s and should be your first option when looking to improve your resell margins.
Prices will dip close to retail in the weeks following the release, but I’m sure prices will slowly begin to rise over time –a year or longer – as this sneaker is a favorite of many sneakerheads and casual sneaker buyers.
How To Cop:
Since this is the biggest release of the year, the Bred 11s won’t be sold on a first-come/first-served basis to help prevent mayhem at brick and mortar relailers. Instead, customers who want to purchase the shoes in-store will have to attempt to reserve them via mobile apps or in-store raffles.
Below is a list of the major retailers that we recommend you try to cop from. Not only are they accessible to the majority of people living here in the US, but they also have a high probability of success.
As far as online releases, most stores will have the sneakers release at 9am EST.
in-store raffles/App Reservations
Foot Locker, Footaction, and Champs will have the sneakers available through their in-app reservation process which should go live the Sunday before the release on December 8, 2019 or a day or so later.
🚨Pro Tip🚨 To improve your chances of reserving the shoe through the apps, make an in-store purchase the week of the release before you submit your reservation.
Finishline has their in-app reservation process open until December 9, 2019.
Hibbett | City Gear has the sneakers available through their in-app reservation process which will stop accepting entries at 11:20AM CT on 12/13.
