2022 Air Jordan 2 “Chicago” Buyer's Guide
Jordan Brand Brings Back A Underappreciated Classic!
With a number of hot releases planned for the remainder of 2022 including collaborations with A-Ma Maniére, Travis Scott, and J Balvin, Jordan Brand has upped the ante by recently announcing the release of the long-awaited Air Jordan 2 "Chicago”. Originally released back in 1986, the AJ2 is easily one of Michael Jordan's most slept-on signature models, but we’ll see if that changes once these drop in the fall.
design, colorway, and materials!
Dressed in a white, black, and red color scheme, this rendition of the classic is set to imitate all the details of the original pair featuring a white smooth leather upper in a high-cut style.
Tumbled leather panels also grace the shoe with black detailing all across the laces, inner lining, midsoles, and piping of the midfoot overlays. The “Varsity Red” color on the heel and tongue branding reflect the team color of the Chicago Bulls.
Rounding out the package will be the OG-style box that the shoes will be housed in to reiterate the OG vibes. If we could make a guess, this will be one of the more highly-coveted shoes of the Holiday 2022 season.

Dick’s Sporting Goods
For the past few Air Jordan releases, Dick’s Sporting Goods website has been the best place to cop online. Their online queue system seems to give a lot of regular buyers a decent shot at taking the “W” on release day.
To increase your chances of copping, we suggest visiting their releases page about 10 minutes before the drop and refreshing every minute until their queue goes live.
I’ve spent 20+ minutes in line for certain releases and still managed to cop, so stay patient. Also, create an online account to take advantage of their rewards program that offers great perks and discounts.
Hibbett Sports
Hibbett’s online website is heavily botted which makes it tough for manual shoppers, but not impossible, especially for a lukewarm drop like this.
Browse the site a couple of minutes before the release and return to the product page just before the drop to increase your chances of adding the shoe to your cart.
It’s also good practice to create an account and enter your payment and shipping information to expedite the checkout process.
Foot Locker/Champs
For the last couple of years, it has been nearly impossible for manual buyers to cop hyped sneakers from the Footlocker and Champs websites. If you want to give it a shot, be sure to be on the site about 10-15 minutes before the queue goes live, and cross your fingers for good luck.
Nike SNKRS App
Have your Nike SNKRS account ready to go ahead of the release by adding your payment and shipping info before the release.
Good luck!

I foresee most stores that will carry this release in-store to release them via a raffle - whether ticket or app. I would definitely recommend that you call your local store for specific details.

Generally speaking, the Air Jordan 2 fits comfortably at true-to-size.
I personally wear a US12 in most Jordan and Nike sneakers and also in the Air Jordan 2.
